IPC/WHMA-620 Courses
IPC/WHMA-620 is the
international standard derived by industry that details
the requirements and acceptability criteria for cable
and wire harness assemblies and is currently at Revision
A.
IPC/WHMA-620 Certified IPC
Specialist (CIS) training and certification is primarily
aimed at those individuals involved in or responsible
for producing or inspecting cable and wire assemblies,
however it does also provide a good all round grounding
for anyone in the industry.
The same IPC/WHMA-620 CIS training schedule is delivered
for both Initial Certification and Re-certification.
Certification
The training programme consists of 8 classroom delivered
modules ranging from 2 –4½ hrs duration each:

Module 1 – IPC Professional Training and
Certification Policy & Procedures/Foreword/Cable & Wire
Preparation/Measuring Cable Assemblies & Wires/Testing
Cable Assemblies
Module 2 – Crimp Terminations/Insulation
Displacement Connections (IDC)*
Module 3 – Soldered Terminations*
Module 4 – Connectorization/Molding & Potting*
Module 5 – Splices*
Module 6 – Marking & Labelling/Wire Bundle
Securing/Shielding/Cable & Wire Harness Protective
Coverings*
Module 7 – Coaxial & Twinaxial Cable Assemblies*
Module 8 – Solderless Wire Wrap*

Successful completion of Modules 1 is mandatory in order
to undertake any of Modules 2-8. Certification is
awarded upon successful completion of Module 1 and then
the optional modules can be undertaken as required and
annotated on the certificate when successfully
completed.
We can provide a programme to suit your needs, either
covering all modules in a single 3-day block (23 hrs
duration) or delivered individually over a period of
time.
IPC/WHMA-620 certification
is valid for 2 years.

Initial Certification Pricing
All modules delivered over a single
3-day block period (min 3 students) -
£300 + vat per student for up to 5
students. £150 + vat for each
additional student up to a maximum of 15
students.
Modules delivered individually - £500 +
vat per day for up to 5 students. £50 +
vat per day for each additional student
up to a maximum of 15 students.
This price includes IPC/WHMA-620
certificate (Module 1). There are no
additional costs. |
